      • Every Osceola County resident deserves a fair chance at a healthy future.

        Right now, that future is at risk. In Osceola County, 1 in 7 adults smokes and
        1 in 17 youth ages 11-17 vapes or uses another toxic tobacco product.

        Vision & Mission

        We envision an Osceola County where all residents have a fair chance at a healthy future—free from nicotine addiction. Our mission is to mobilize the community and advance local policies that will help end nicotine addiction, protect children, and improve public health for generations to come.

        Local initiatives supported by Tobacco Free Osceola include those intended to:

        • Stop illegal tobacco and vape product sales and predatory marketing practices. Learn more here 
        • Ensure K-12 school policies related to tobacco are comprehensive and effective.Learn more here 
        • Encourage multi-unit housing properties to implement policies that protect residents from secondhand smoke. Learn more here 
        • Help organizations implement policies that protect workers from secondhand smoke and help workers who want to quit. Learn more here 
        • Partner with health systems to improve access to evidence-based cessation services. Learn more here

        Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) mobilizes and equips youth to protect their generation from the tobacco and vaping industries. Osceola County SWAT members build leadership skills and plan activities to help raise awareness and support for policies that benefit the community.
